Monday Men’s Devotional

Monday morning greetings to you, my friend!  Our Good God has blessed each of us with another week to walk with Him!

Today, a little bit of a departure from our usual study.  First, consider the what God proclaims and promises about His word, by reading the following selections from God’s word:

Job 22:22 “Receive, please, instruction from His mouth, And lay up His words in your heart.”
‭‭
Psalm 130:5 “I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope.”

John 17:17 “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.”

Job 2:11 “For strong is the One who executes His word.”

Psalm 119:89 “Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven.”

Ezekiel 12:25 “For I am the LORD. I speak, and the word which I speak will come to pass; it will no more be postponed;”

Jeremiah 1:12 “Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.”

Isaiah 40:8 “The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.”

Psalm 119:116 “Uphold me according to Your word, that I may live; And do not let me be ashamed of my hope.”

Psalm 119:160 “The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.”

Micah 2:7 “Do not My words do good To him who walks uprightly?”
‭‭
Matthew 24:35 “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”

Jeremiah 1:12 “Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.””
‭‭
John 15:7 “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”

Psalm 138:2 “For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.”

Hebrew 4:12 “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Isaiah 55:11 “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”

Our Good God values His word. He is faithful to perform His word. His word is truth.  His word is living and powerful.  His word is eternal.  And, praise Him, His word is available to us and it is applicable to each Believer, even today!

Now, read Philippians 1:2 – 11.

As you read this powerful prayer penned by Paul, make it personal!  That is, appropriate the declarations of blessings and power and love contained in this prayer for yourself!  Receive everything that our Good God has promised for you in this passage, and as you begin your week, be (vv 11) “filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.”.  Amen!
